Ceiling Spraying in Staffordshire & Cheshire

Airless ceiling spraying with a flawless flat finish. No roller stipple, no fluff, no orange-peel — just perfectly smooth ceilings. From £180 per ceiling. Free site visit and quote.

What is airless ceiling spraying?

Airless spraying atomises paint at high pressure through a fine tip, laying down a perfectly flat coat of trade emulsion on your ceiling. The result is a smooth, even, stipple-free finish that you simply cannot achieve with a roller — even a brand-new microfibre roller leaves a faint orange-peel texture under raked light.

It's the standard method on commercial fit-outs, new-build snagging and high-end residential work, and it's our go-to for ceilings across Staffordshire and Cheshire.

Why have your ceiling sprayed?

Perfectly flat finish

No roller marks, no stipple, no patches. Smooth and even under any light.

Faster than rolling

Two coats sprayed in the time it takes to roll one. Less disruption.

Covers stains & patches

Spray builds a more even film — old patches and water stains disappear faster.

Specialist for vaulted ceilings

Vaulted, sloped and high ceilings sprayed without ladder-roll-marks.

Ceiling spraying — FAQs

How much does ceiling spraying cost in Staffordshire?

Single-room ceiling spraying typically starts at £180 for a small bedroom ceiling, £220–£280 for a standard living room, and £380+ for large lounges or vaulted ceilings. Whole-house ceiling spraying is quoted by the job with multi-room discounts of up to 12%. Final price is confirmed after a free site visit.

What's the difference between ceiling spraying and rolling?

Airless ceiling spraying gives a perfectly flat, stipple-free finish that you cannot replicate with a roller. There's no roller-mark, no fluff, no orange-peel — just a smooth, even ceiling. It also covers stains and patches in fewer coats. We mask everything before we spray so the walls, floors and furniture stay protected.

Do you spray over Artex or textured ceilings?

Yes — but Artex needs the right prep. We assess the texture, fill any cracks, and depending on condition either spray directly with a thicker trade emulsion or skim-and-spray for a flat modern finish. We'll give you the honest options on the site visit.

How long does it take to spray a ceiling?

Setup and masking takes longer than the spray itself. A typical single bedroom ceiling takes around 2–3 hours including prep, masking, two coats and clean-up. A whole-house ceiling spray (3–4 bedrooms) is usually 1–2 days.

Will you mask and protect the walls and floors?

Always. We fully sheet floors, mask walls, cover furniture (or move it where possible), and tape off skirting and architraves. Overspray protection is half the job — we don't cut corners on it.

Which paint do you use for ceiling spraying?

Dulux Trade Vinyl Matt is our standard for ceilings — it's spray-grade, dead-flat finish, hides patches well, and is the painter's choice for ceilings nationally. We also work with Crown Trade, Neptune Paint (on request) and other premium brands if you prefer a specific finish.
